Professional Bio
Jennie Shuman, PhD, is a postdoctoral fellow in Dr. Tim Cover's lab in the Division of Infectious Diseases, Department of Medicine, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She has experience in microbial pathogenesis and using animal models of disease. The focus of her current work is the pathogenesis of the bacterium Helicobacter pylori.
She completed her Bachelors of Science degrees in Microbiology and Genetics at Clemson University in 2018 and immediately moved into a doctoral program at Vanderbilt University. She completed her Ph. in Microbe-Host Interactions in 2024.
