VUMC Transplant Infectious Disease Clinician Educator

The Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) Division of Infectious Diseases (ID) is seeking candidates for a Transplant ID Physician on the Clinical Educator track.  Applicants should have subspecialty training in transplant ID or significant clinical experience caring for this population. The chosen candidate will be appointed at the Assistant, Associate, or Professor level, commensurate with experience. Training or experience in Antimicrobial Stewardship is desirable, but not essential.

This position includes clinical responsibility for inpatient consults and outpatient care of immunocompromised patients at VUMC and the affiliated Tennessee Valley Veterans Hospital in Nashville. Transplant faculty are actively engaged in scholarly activities and training of a dedicated Transplant ID Fellow.  VUMC is the fifth largest transplant center in the nation and the largest heart transplant program in the world. The Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center is a nationally recognized leader in oncologic care with a large stem cell transplant program. These large volumes and diverse patient populations offers abundant opportunities for collaborative care and intersectional research between Transplant ID and other disciplines.
