Professional Bio

Denis Mogilenko, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Rheumatology and Immunology within the Department of Medicine, and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology, Microbiology, and Immunology.
 
He received his PhD in Biology with a specialization in Biochemistry from the Institute of Experimental Medicine of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences. In 2012, he joined the Bart Staels Laboratory at the French Institute of Health and Medical Research (INSERM) and Lille University as a Postdoctoral Fellow to study the connection between metabolism and immunity.
In 2018, Dr. Mogilenko joined the Maxim Artyomov Laboratory in the Department of Pathology and Immunology at Washington University in St. Louis as a Postdoctoral Fellow to investigate immune mechanisms of aging using systems immunology approaches. In 2020, he was appointed an Instructor of Pathology and Immunology at Washington University in St. Louis to continue his immunometabolism and aging biology projects.
