Dr. Willis recently joined the Vanderbilt faculty in the Division of General Internal Medicine and Public Health. She is originally from Selma, Alabama, and received her BS in animal sciences from Auburn University with a focus in veterinary medicine. She then completed a post-graduate year at Auburn University studying the medical disparities facing rural populations across Alabama. This confirmed her interest in medicine, and she attended medical school at the University of Alabama School of Medicine. She recently completed her internal medicine residency at Baylor Scott and White in Temple, Texas, and is excited to be joining the Vanderbilt team. Her interest is in hospitalist medicine with the goal of being involved in medical education.
