Professional Bio

Lucas Richter, MS, is an Assistant in Medicine in the Division of Genetic Medicine in the Department of Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Mr. Richter provides a counseling practice for patients and family members seeking care in pharmacogenomics and genomic medicine. His research efforts aim to improve patient care by better understanding and anticipating psychiatric disorder presentation in the patient population, as well as establishing protocols and assessing models to predict genetic disease clinically.

He is a member of the Ruderfer Lab at VUMC, and is an active member of the International Common Disease Alliance (ICDA) polygenic risk score task force and the National Society of Genetic Counselors (NSGC).
