Professional Bio

Mattie G. Brady, DNP, AGPCNP-BC, GS-C, is an Assistant in Medicine in the Division of Geriatric Medicine within the Department of Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Her passion has always been to serve, especially those in the geriatric population. After participating in several medical mission trips to the Dominican Republic, Brady decided to go to school to obtain her BSN. After completing her degree at Appalachian State University, she moved to Nashville to complete the VUMC Nurse Residency Program. Following the completion of her residency, she began her career in the Acute Care of the Elderly (ACE) Unit.

Brady completed a master’s degree through the Vanderbilt University Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Program, joining the Vanderbilt Geriatrics Team in 2017. In 2019, she returned to school at John's Hopkins University to complete her Doctorate in Nursing Practice to continue her focus on the specialized needs of the geriatric population.
