Nichelle Winters, MD
Sub-specialty Interest – Pulmonary/Critical Care
Niki grew up on a farm in rural Oregon. She still enjoys getting outside and digging in the dirt or working on a DIY project. Niki went to undergrad at Brigham Young University and got hooked on lab research during her time there. She came to Vanderbilt for the MD/PhD program and studied embryonic development using chick-quail chimeras. During her nine years in Nashville, Niki became an avid Nashville Predators fan (though still she can’t cheer for the Titans) and developed a love for cycling on the greenways and through the hilly countryside, especially the Natchez Trace. She is thrilled to continue her training at Vanderbilt!
