Saed Shawar, MBBS, is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in the Division of Nephrology and Hypertension within the Department of Medicine.
Dr. Shawar received his MBBS from Jordan University of Science and Technology and also completed an internship in Internal Medicine from UTMB that same year. He then went on to complete two residences in Internal Medicine from Jordan Hospital and then at UTMB. Dr. Shawar completed a nephrology fellowship from Baylor College of Medicine and a transplant nephrology fellowship from VUMC. He is now the program director for the Kidney-Pancreas Transplant Program at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
