Sandeep Rajan, MBBS, is an Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine in the Division of Hematology and Oncology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Before joining Vanderbilt as faculty in 2021, hewasheavilyinvolved in many clinical and translational research programs at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center and University of Colorado Hospital. Throughout his career, Dr. Rajan haspublished17 articles, 30 abstracts,twobook chapters and two online monographsrelated to his research in adult benign hematology withanemphasis on hemostasis, thrombosis, hemophilia, complement disorders and thrombocytopenia,head andneck cancers, heme malignancies and cancer-related thrombosis. He has delivered more than100 presentations, and received over 15 grants as Principal Investigator for biomarkers, investigational products in phase 1, 2, 3 and IV setting and epidemiologic studies. He is an avid lecturerwhose presented numerous lectures to health professionals and consumers inthefield of hematology andoncology. He has been very active in medical education,and has previously served as Course Director, Associate Program Director and Program Director at his previous institutions. In total, hehas mentored over 65 fellows in his career, many of whom have taken up positions in academicinstitutionsinternationally.
