After finishing his medical school training in India, Dr. Zalawadiya pursued advanced training in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease at Wayne State University and advanced heart failure training at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He has keen interest in the field of clinical cardiovascular research and has been involved in numerous projects analyzing national registries. His current focus of interest is optimization of candidate selection strategies for optimal outcomes for patients undergoing implantation of mechanical circulatory support and/or heart transplantation.
