Dr. Shayne Sebold Taylor is happy to join Vanderbilt’s faculty in the Departments of Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. She plans to pursue primary care for both adult and pediatric patients with a focus on LGBTQ patients. She is particularly interested in caring for the transgender community as one the founding members and leaders for Vanderbilt’s new Center for Transgender Health. Dr. Taylor originally hails from Tucson, Arizona. She completed her undergraduate degree at Emory University in Atlanta and her medical degree at Drexel University in Philadelphia, with a brief stint in NYC in between. She successfully completed her Internal Medicine and Pediatrics residencies at Vanderbilt University in the summer of 2018. When she is not in the hospital, she enjoys spending time with her family and pets, hiking and seeing live music.
