My research program involves developing, implementing, and evaluating interventions to improve the processes and outcomes of patient care, with a focus on health communication, medication management, and care transitions. I direct the Center for Clinical Quality and Implementation Research, which seeks to improve the effectiveness and value of health care delivery through implementation and evaluation of evidence-based practice, as well as de-implementation of excess care.
