Dr. Tetyana Pedchenko’s research interests include inflammation and immunity and their interplay underlying various diseases. She studied the macrophage regulation of lung inflammation, and her main research objective is to understand and target the mechanisms involved at the molecular and sub-cellular levels. Dr. Pedchenko’s longstanding research interest is the mechanism of autoimmune diseases. She conducted the study showing the IgM response to lung cancer development and investigating the role of autoreactive, pathogenic B cells in type 1 diabetes. Her research has spanned basic preclinical models to human studies.
