Professional Highlights

Dr. Richardson earned his medical doctorate at the University of Florida. He completed his internal medicine residency, chief residence in internal medicine, cardiovascular medicine fellowship, and cardiovascular electrophysiology fellowship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. His clinical and research interests are in the treatment of cardiac rhythm disorders, specifically ventricular tachycardia and atrial fibrillation. He has a particular interest in catheter ablation for these conditions as well as defibrillator management in patients with left ventricular assist devices. He has completed research in the areas of cardiac lead management, ablation of atrial fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia management, and ICD programming.
