Louise Hanson, MD is the Medical Director of the Zerfoss Student Health Center and has over 20 years of experience in college health. As Medical Director, Dr. Hanson’s practice primarily includes students who are childhood cancer survivors, or who are living with significant medical challenges including diagnoses such organ transplantation, cystic fibrosis, lupus, inflammatory bowel disease, HIV infection, or complicated mental health disorders. The comprehensive primary care for these students complements the specialty care at the Vanderbilt Medical Center, allowing even the most seriously ill students to succeed and thrive while at Vanderbilt University.
