Austin “AJ” was born in Memphis, Tennessee and studied Biology at The University of Memphis. He then attended The University of Tennessee Health Science Center for medical school and enjoyed serving the underserved population around Memphis. He has spent time scribing for physiatrists specializing in Interventional Spine/Sports Medicine and values the role that rehab plays after spinal cord or traumatic brain injuries. AJ and his wife are proud parents to a golden retriever who enjoys long walks and car rides with the windows down. In his free time, AJ enjoys playing sports, being outdoors, and watching his favorite Memphis sports teams play. His hobbies also include grilling, fishing, and playing below average golf. He cannot wait to join the Vanderbilt family and enjoy all the good food and good music that Nashville has to offer.
