Fellowships in the Department of Medicine
The department has 16 ACGME-accredited fellowships and several non-accredited fellowships in diverse disciplines that trained 151 residents and 259 fellows at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and the Nashville VA Medical Center in the 2023-2024 academic year.
The department also has a diverse research portfolio currently supported by over $266M of annual external research funding. Vanderbilt currently ranks first in NIH research funding among all Departments of Medicine in U.S. medical schools.
