Professional Bio
Adam G. Aston, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of General Internal Medicine and Public Health, Department of Medicine, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
He received his bachelor's degree in cellular biology at the University of Georgia and his MD at the Medical College of Georgia. He then completed internal medicine residency at Virginia Commonwealth University.
Dr. Aston's major scientific interest is in cardiology and he worked on research in the field of cardio-oncology during his residency. In addition to his research interests, Dr. Aston has a passion for quality improvement and education. He helped develop a DNAR/DNI peri-operative process map and educational lecture for internal medicine housestaff during residency. He plans to continue working in patient safety and quality improvement measures.
