Professional Bio
Alicia Williams, MD, is an Allergy/Immunology Clinical Fellow in the Division of Allergy, Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, Department of Medicine, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
She grew up in Fort Payne, Alabama, completed undergraduate education at Mercer University and went to the University of Alabama in Birmingham for both medical school and pediatric residency. She became interested in allergy and immunology in medical school during the immunology block. When she started residency, she was able to spend clinical time in the specialty and really enjoyed it. She loves the variety of the field and how it allows you to improve the quality of life of so many children and adults.
Dr. Williams chose Vanderbilt because of the emphasis on didactics, specifically the immunology course. She really admire the warmth and collegiality of the people at VUMC. In her free time, she really love to sing, play basketball, and spend time with friends and family.
