Professional Bio
Amanda Phelps, MHS, is an Assistant in Medicine in the Division of General Internal Medicine and Public Health within the Department of Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She graduated from Belmont University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Previously, she worked at VUMC in the Adult Emergency Department and the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit, as well as East Tennessee Children's Hospital on the general medical and hematology/oncology unit. She also worked at Nolensville Family Medicine as a Registered Nurse, where she performed as a Nurse Supervisor and led Mock Codes for the staff. Upon graduating from South College with her Master of Health Science in physician assistant studies in 2010, Phelps returned to Nolensville Family Medicine as a certified Physician Assistant. She is excited to rejoin Vanderbilt University Medical Center as a Physician Assistant and continue providing care to those in her community.
