Ashley was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, and grew up visiting family every summer in her mother’s home country of Paraguay. She attended Princeton University with her twin brother and received a BA in molecular biology and a minor in Spanish Language and Culture. She then attended Vanderbilt School of Medicine where she continued to explore her interest in advocating for Latino populations through her research and work with the Shade Tree Clinic. She plans to continue pursuing her passion for medical education, preventive medicine, and advocating for the health equity of underserved Latino and immigrant populations. Outside of medicine, Ashley loves traveling, hiking and camping with friends, going to dog parks with her pup Sadie, playing pickleball, and spending time with her fiancé.
