Professional Bio
Bibin Varghese, MD, is a clinical fellow in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine, Department of Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
He earned his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine prior to completing the Osler Medical Residency Program at Johns Hopkins. He came to Vanderbilt in 2021 for cardiovascular medicine fellowship and attained additional training in patient-oriented research.
He has worked with Dr. Ben Shoemaker since 2023 and began cardiac electrophysiology fellowship in July 2024. His research interest is the use of cardiac imaging to assess inflammation such as parametric mapping with cardiac MRI. Dr. Varghese's future career goal is to become a cardiac electrophysiologist with a special interest in cardiac rheumatology, the management of arrhythmias in patients with autoimmune rheumatological disorders.
