Professional Bio
Bryan Harris, MD, MPH, MMHC, is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases within the Department of Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, and his research is focused on healthcare epidemiology.
He completed a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree during his ID fellowship at Vanderbilt, and his research focused on evaluating methods to reduce infectious complications of mechanical ventilation. His general interest is in keeping patients safe when admitted to the hospital and reducing the burden of hospital-acquired conditions. He is currently an Associated Hospital Epidemiologist for Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
In 2022, Dr. Harris completed a Master of Management in Healthcare degree at Vanderbilt Owen School of Management. He currently serves as the Executive Medical Director for the Medicine Patient Care Center with oversight responsibilities for Infectious Diseases, Rheumatology, Endocrinology, Nephrology, Hypertension, and Gastroenterology outpatient clinics and inpatient operations.
