Professional Bio
Bryan Harris, MD, MPH, MMHC, is an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases within the Department of Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. His research focuses on keeping patients safe when admitted to the hospital by reducing hospital-acquired conditions.
He currently serves as Associate Hospital Epidemiologist for Vanderbilt University Medical Center. In addition to his roles in epidemiology and in the clinical care of patients with infectious diseases, he also enjoys making clinical operations more efficient, reducing administrative burdens on clinicians, and optimizing the patient experience.
Dr. Harris served as the Executive Medical Director of the Medicine Patient Care Center from 2018 to 2023. In 2023, he was promoted to the Executive Vice Chair for Clinical Affairs for the Department of Medicine.
