Professional Bio
Carla Sevin, MD, is the Director of the Pulmonary Patient Care Center and an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of Allergy, Pulmonary, and Critical Care Medicine, Department of Medicine, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She received her undergraduate degree from Duke University and her MD from the University of South Florida. She trained in Internal Medicine at Vanderbilt University and completed a Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship there. She received additional subspecialty training at the Universtitäts Spital in Zürich, Switzerland, and the University of California in San Francisco. Dr. Sevin is board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, and Critical Care Medicine. Her clinical interests include the care of patients with occupational lung diseases and long-term outcomes after critical illness. Her research interests include the study of inflammatory lung diseases and improving critical illness recovery through ICU aftercare and peer support.
