Professional Bio
Cesar Campos Cueller, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine and Hospitalist at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He earned his medical degree from the Universidad de San Martín de Porres in Lima, Peru, and completed his Internal Medicine residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Dr. Campos' clinical interests include inpatient medicine and cardiovascular medicine. He is committed to delivering thoughtful, patient-centered care and values strong clinical reasoning, diagnostic accuracy, and compassionate communication. As a Spanish-speaking physician, he is particularly interested in improving access to care and health outcomes across all patient populations.
His academic interests center on medical education and bedside teaching. During residency, Dr. Campos completed the EXCITE teaching pathway at Vanderbilt, where he developed formal training in clinical instruction and learner engagement. He enjoys teaching residents and medical students, with an emphasis on pathophysiology, clarity of thought, and practical clinical decision making.
Dr. Campos aims to grow as a clinician-educator while contributing to Vanderbilt's missions of excellence in patient care, education and service.
