Colin Slaymaker
Interests

Colin was born and raised in the Kansas City suburbs by his wonderful parents, Lance and Katie. He is the oldest of four siblings and is constantly cheered on by his younger brothers Reed and Tate and his younger sister Libby. Always involved in athletics, Colin found a love for lacrosse as a teenager, becoming an Academic All-American before playing for the Vanderbilt University Men's Club Team and coaching at nearby Grassland Middle School during his time as an undergrad. He went on to attend the University of Kansas School of Medicine, where he discovered his passion for hematology and oncology, with a specific interest in acute leukemias. In his free time, Colin loves to hike, spend time with friends and family, and passionately cheer on his Vanderbilt Commodores, Kansas City Chiefs, and Kansas City Royals. He is looking forward to moving back to Nashville and cheering on the 'Dores in person with his girlfriend, Colleen, who works as an occupational therapist.
