Professional Bio
Daniel Hausrath, MD, is a clinician-educator in the Division of Hematology and Oncology within the Department of Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC). He earned his medical degree at University of California, San Francisco, and completed an Internal Medicine residency at Stanford University Hospital and Clinics. He completed a Hematology and Oncology fellowship at Vanderbilt prior to joining faculty in 2022. His interests include benign hematology, translational research and medical education. Specifically, he hopes to study the effects of iron deficiency and iron replacement therapy on erythropoiesis; issues surrounding the detection and treatment of iron deficiency in pregnancy; and the intersection of hyperactive immunity and autoimmunity with benign hematology.
