Professional Bio
Denis Mogilenko, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Rheumatology and Immunology within the Department of Medicine, and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology, Microbiology, and Immunology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. His laboratory focuses on how obesity and aging reshape immune responses and lead to inflammatory diseases.
He received his PhD from the Institute of Experimental Medicine of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences. He was a postdoctoral fellow at the French Institute of Health and Medical Research (INSERM), Lille University, and Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, studying immunometabolism in obesity and aging. In 2020, he was appointed an Instructor of Pathology and Immunology at Washington University School of Medicine.
