Professional Bio
Ganiat, originally from Nigeria, grew up in Lagos, the economic nerve center of West Africa. The youngest of four children, she is the only doctor in her family. After completing her primary and secondary education in Nigeria, Ganiat attended Gulf Medical College in the United Arab Emirates, before proceeding to Morehouse School of Medicine where she graduated from the Internal Medicine Residency Program. Ganiat worked at Morehouse Healthcare as a primary care physician, promoting healthcare equity and caring for the underserved population in Georgia until moving Nashville to pursue her aspiration of becoming a seasoned Geriatric Rheumatologist. Providing the highest level of care to patients as she also investigates innovative ways of diagnosing and treating the rheumatic diseases, they are battling with is something that is very important to Ganiat. When not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband and son, and certainly love cooking traditional African dishes.
