Grace was born and raised in Tampa, Florida, the middle child of three daughters. She studied Microbiology at the University of Florida (go Gators!) before moving back to her hometown to start medical school at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine in Tampa. There, she developed her love for internal medicine and hematologic oncology through her research in CAR T-cell therapy for lymphoma. She was drawn to Vanderbilt not just because Nashville is the country music capital of the world, but for the down-to-earth faculty and house staff, academic rigor balanced by a warm learning environment, and family feel of the program. In her free time, she loves line dancing, reading, going to church, and hiking local Tennessee trails with her husband.
