Professional Bio
Graham P. Fain, DO, is Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine in the Division of General Internal Medicine and Public Health, Section of Hospital Medicine, within the Department of Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
He served as an internal medicine physician and hospitalist for the United States Air Force and deployed during Operation Allies Rescue to Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar. He served as medical director overseeing the evacuation of 60,000 regional allies and provided medical care to coalition armed forces in the area. For his work, he was awarded the Air Force Commendation and the Air Force Achievement medals.
Dr. Fain works primarily as a hospitalist at VUMC as well as attending resident physician inpatient ward teams. He brings a wide variety of experience in different practice environments including military medicine, rural medicine, community-based care, and academic medical care.
