Professional Bio
Jessica Joseph-Alexis, DO, is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine within the Department of Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She has a passion for cardiology and, in particular, preventative medicine, women's health, advanced imaging such as cardiac CT, nuclear stress testing, vascular imaging, and echocardiography, as well as treating patients experiencing heart failure. Dr. Joseph-Alexis graduated from Hofstra University with honors with a BS in Biology and minors in Biochemistry and History. She then attended Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine earning her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree and an MBA in Healthcare Administration from Saint Joseph University. Dr. Joseph-Alexis completed her residency training in Internal Medicine at Pennsylvania Hospital. She then completed her fellowship in cardiovascular disease at HCA Healthcare/USF Morsani College of Medicine, Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point in Florida where she was Chief Cardiology Fellow. She provides a complete array of non-invasive cardiology care which integrates her advancing imaging interpretation skill and up-to-date preventative medicine to better care for patients as a whole.
