Jess is originally from a small rural town called London, Ohio. She attended The Ohio State University as a first-generation college student where she earned a BS in Biology and a BA in Spanish, Latin American Literature, and Culture. Following graduation, she stuck around Columbus to attend medical school at OSU College of Medicine and become a "Double Buckeye" (Go Bucks!!). In medical school, Jess developed passions for working with underserved populations at La Clinica Latina, Spanish Free Clinic, and undergraduate medical education, designing and implementing an ultrasound curriculum for medical students at OSU. Outside of the hospital, Jess enjoys gardening, playing tennis, or just hanging out with her husband Matt and their two mini dachshunds (Marvin and Milo). She is looking forward to moving to Nashville and can’t wait to join the Vanderbilt Family.
