Professional Bio
Kamaree Harris, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine in the Division of General Internal Medicine and Public Health focusing on primary care. Raised in the Kennesaw/Acworth area of Georgia along with three siblings, he attended Georgia Southern University for college and majored in biology. After graduating in 2016, he spent time at The University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, where he completed a summer program to become more competitive for medical school. Finishing the summer program reinvigorated and refocused on a career in medicine, he completed a one-year master's degree in preclinical sciences at Mercer University School of Medicine. After graduating in 2017, he took a year off from school to study for the MCAT, apply to medical school, and spend time with family and friends. He started medical school at Mercer University School of Medicine in 2018, where he was actively involved in various committees, volunteer work, and mentorship programs. After completing his first year of medical school, Dr. Harris returned to The University of Miami to work at the same summer program where he was once a student, this time serving as a teaching assistant, leader, and mentor to the students. After graduating from medical school, he completed his internship and residency training in internal medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
