Professional Bio
Katherine Baker, MD, is a chief fellow in the Division of Hematology and Oncology, Department of Medicine, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
As a Georgia native, she received her undergraduate degree at the University of Georgia and her medical doctorate at the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University. She completed her internship and residency training in Internal Medicine at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, and is currently in her final year of fellowship training at Vanderbilt. She has served as chief fellow for both the 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 academic year. She also received a Master of Management in Healthcare from the Vanderbilt Owen Graduate School of Management.
Dr. Baker's interests are centered around alternative payment models and value based care in oncology. In addition to her current role as chief fellow, she also serves on the board of the Tennessee Oncology Practice Society.
