Professional Bio
Kristin Rutterer, MD, joined Vanderbilt University Medical Center as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine in the Division of General Internal Medicine and Public Health in 2021. She received her bachelor’s degree in biology from Georgia Institute of Technology prior to attending medical school at the University of Tennessee in Memphis. She completed her residency in internal medicine at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. Dr. Rutterer practices hospital medicine and has a special interest in the quality of care patients receive while hospitalized, with a focus on patient experience and transitions of care.
