Kristina grew up in Smyrna, Tennessee and attended Lipscomb University in Nashville, where she majored in Biochemistry. During her undergraduate years, she worked at a local nursing home caring for elderly patients with dementia and helped care for a family member with Parkinson’s disease, thereby sparking her passion for neurology. She attended the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, Tennessee for medical school and completed her clinical rotations in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Outside of medicine, Kristina enjoys sewing, running, reading, and spending time with her friends and family. She is very excited to return home for residency and to train at Vanderbilt!
