Professional Bio
Kyle W. Davis, ScM, is a genetic counselor with over six years of experience in the pediatric and rare disease areas. He is a member of the Division of Genetic Medicine and Clinical Pharmacology and joined the Department of Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in January 2023. Mr. Davis received his Master of Science in Genetic Counseling in 2016 from the Genetic Counseling Training Program at Johns Hopkins University/National Human Genome Research Institute and his Bachelor of Arts in Behavioral Neuroscience from Purdue University in 2006. He is board certified through the ABGC as a genetic counselor and through the ISMPP as a medical publishing professional. He has additional training in pharmacogenomics through Manchester University and manuscript editing/publishing through New York University. Before his appointment, Mr. Davis worked on the clinical team at Bionano Genomics (formerly Lineagen), on the marketing team as the Manager of Scientific Communications at Variantyx, and then as a Science Communications Specialist at Ambit. He has authored a dozen scientific posters, five peer-reviewed studies, and numerous blog articles. His scientific writing has appeared in Slate's Future Tense and the NHGRI's News Features and their former blog, The Genome Advance of the Month.
