Professional Bio
Laura Ramirez, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine in the Division of Hematology and Oncology, Department of Medicine, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.  She received her BS in biology from The University of Memphis and then earned her MD from The University of Tennessee College of Medicine.  She stayed at UTCOM for her internal medicine residency training.  She completed her fellowship training in hematology and medical oncology at Tulane University, serving as chief fellow in her final year of subspecialty training.  After completing her fellowship, Dr. Ramirez practiced hematology and oncology at Touro Infirmary in New Orleans for six years.   She moved back to Tennessee and enjoys her clinical practice of hematology and medical oncology at Vanderbilt Ingram Cancer Center.  She has clinic locations in Spring Hill and Cool Springs.  Dr. Ramirez is board certified in internal medicine, hematology, and medical oncology.  She is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology.
