Professional Bio
Lauren Broussard, MD, is a Clinical Fellow in the Division of Geriatric Medicine, Department of Medicine, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Born and raised in New Orleans, she attended Louisiana State University where she majored in biological sciences and minored in psychology. She then continued her studies and medical school training at LSU Health Sciences Center. Dr. Broussard completed her family medicine training at the Medical University of South Carolina. There, she served as chief resident during her third and final year of residency. She also completed longitudinal tracks in both geriatric and academic medicine, her two biggest passions within the medical field.
After the completion of her geriatric fellowship, Dr. Broussard plans to pursue a medical directorship certification, as well as continue her involvement in academic medicine and mentorship of future physicians and healthcare workers.
