Lauren Kathary
Professional Bio
Lauren Kathary, DO, MPH, MSc, is a clinical faculty member in the Department of Medicine’s Division of General Internal Medicine and Public Health at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Board certified in Family Medicine, she earned her medical degree, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO), at Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Also at Nova Southeastern University, Dr. Kathary earned a Master of Biomedical Science and Master of Public Health. She subsequently completed a Family Medicine residency at LewisGale Hospital Montgomery, where she served as chief resident. After residency, Dr. Kathary practiced in both Primary Care and Urgent Care settings within the greater Nashville area. Dr. Kathary has special interests in patient education, public health, travel medicine and adolescent medicine, as well as the musculoskeletal system.
