Maria Belen Arriaga Gutierrez
Professional Bio
María B. Arriaga is a nurse, graduated from the Federico Villarreal National University in Peru, with a scholarship from the Organization of American States (OAS) to pursue a master's degree in Medicine and Health at the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA) in Brazil. She completed her PhD in Experimental Pathology at UFBA and the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (Fiocruz) in Brazil, with a scholarship from the Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado da Bahia (FAPESB). She worked as a research assistant in Biostatistics in the RePORT-Brasil consortium. She was part of the Multinational Organization Network Sponsoring Translational and Epidemiological Research (MONSTER) initiative in Brazil and worked as Data Manager in the PISAAC study at the Cayetano Heredia University in Peru. She has experience in clinical trial coordination, data quality management and control, and statistical analysis. The focus of her work is tuberculosis and its comorbidities such as diabetes and HIV.
