Professional Bio
Matthew Christensen, MD, is a Fellow in the Division of Allergy, Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, Department of Medicine, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
As an engineering major in college, he built an interest in informatics, clinical decision support, and pulmonary infections. His early career research includes collaborations between EM and PCCM with Drs. Mike Ward and Matt Semler as mentors.
Dr. Christensen chose VUMC for fellowship because it uniquely combines excellent hands on clinical training with equally excellent research opportunities, specifically in clinical informatics. He plans to pursue a fourth year T32 research fellowship to complete a Masters in Clinical Informatics.
