Professional Bio
Megan Dupuis, MD, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Hematology and Oncology as well as the Associate Program Director of the Hematology and Oncology Fellowship Program in the Department of Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Dr. Dupuis completed her PhD in tumor immunology from Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo, New York. Shortly after graduating from her MD/PhD program, she began to focus on her passion for medical education and patient care throughout her residency training at Duke and fellowship training at MD Anderson, where she held assistant chief resident and chief fellow positions.
She is passionate about wellness and Narrative Medicine; she has been a founder of a Narrative Medicine program at both Duke and at MD Anderson, and has been and invited lecturer for a workshop on Narrative Medicine at a national conference. She is now co-director of a Medical Humanities GME certificate program at VUMC.
Dr. Dupuis considers her two proudest professional achievements to be the recipient of the Amit Bhaskar Award for Compassion in Medicine (Duke, 2018), and the MD Anderson Outstanding Fellow of the Year Award (2020).
