Professional Bio
Michael McCann, MD, MBA, is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in the Division of General Internal Medicine and Public Health with a focus on hospitalist medicine, particularly in the high need population.
He is a graduate from Allegheny College where he played collegiate soccer. He then completed medical school at Penn State University College of Medicine and residency at Penn State Health in combined Internal Medicine-Pediatrics. He pursued further education by attaining a business degree from Quantic School of Business and Technology, graduating with an MBA in October of 2022.
Dr. McCann's primary academic interests include health systems science, medical education, transition care of pediatric patients to the adult care model, complex care of the high need population, and hospitalist medicine.
