Michael Diatte
Professional Bio
Michael Diatte, MD, joined Vanderbilt University Medical Center in 2021 as an Instructor of Clinical Medicine in the Department of Medicine, Division of General Internal Medicine and Public Health. He is a board certified Internal Medicine and Pediatrics physician who focuses on providing general care for the whole family. He is comfortable managing complex care for patients of all ages, ranging from the newborn to geriatric population. Dr. Diatte has a passion for educating patients about their health and helping them make informed decisions about their care. With a special interest in how individuals can improve their longevity and wellbeing through both medicine and lifestyle modification, he enjoys creating an environment in which shared medical decision making can occur. During patient visits, he makes it a goal to listen empathetically to concerns and help create a plan of care based on the latest medical guidelines, while at the same time incorporating patient values regarding use of modern medication and treatment options.
