Professional Bio
Milad Matta, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine, Department of Medicine, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
He graduated from St. Joseph University School of Medicine in Beirut, Lebanon in 2018. He completed residency in Internal Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic and received his specialty training as a fellow in Vascular Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic.
He then joined the clinical staff at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, and is an assistant professor in the School of Medicine.
Dr. Matta's clinical interests are lymphedema, lipedema, chronic venous insufficiency, VTE and anticoagulation, medical management of peripheral artery disease and carotid artery disease. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Vascular Medicine and is a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation.
Dr. Matta clinical research focuses on cardiac and vascular disease. He has coauthored papers and abstracts on this research published in leading peer-reviewed journals regarding stress testing, abdominal aortic aneurysms, mitral and tricuspid valve disease. He also has presented research abstracts and posters at national medical meetings, including American College of Cardiology and American Heart Association, and international meeting including European Society of Cardiology. He also coauthored book chapters on peripheral artery disease and carotid artery disease.
