Professional Bio
Mohammad Al-Khdarat, MD, is an Assistant Professor in the Division of General Internal Medicine and Public Health within the Department of Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He has special interests in hospital medicine and public health and is currently completing his master's degree in public health (MPH) with a focus on epidemiology. Originally from Amman, Jordan, Dr. Al-Khdarat is fluent in both English and Arabic. He was granted a full scholarship by the Jordanian Ministry of Higher Education to study medicine at the University of Jordan. He gained four years of clinical experience as a general practitioner in Jordan, where he practiced medicine in the Jordanian Ministry of Health, King Hussein Cancer Center, and with the international non-profit Doctors without Borders (MSF). In 2015, Dr. Al-Khdarat moved to the U.S. to start his internal medicine residency training in the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. He has been board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine since 2018. Before joining VUMC in October 2022, he gained four years of clinical experience as an attending hospitalist at the University of Florida’s teaching hospital.
