Professional Bio
Nagendra Ramanna, MD, is and Assistant Professor of Medicine, Division of Cardiovascular Medicine, and a clinician educator at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
He graduated from Armed Forces Medical College, Pune, India, completed residency training in internal medicine at SUNY Brooklyn, and cardiology fellowship at UT Houston, and interventional cardiology fellowship at Texas Heart Institute in 1996. He practiced general and interventional cardiology in Houston, Austin and Nashville, when he joined Meharry Medical College in 2010 and Vanderbilt University Division of Cardiovascular Medicine in 2012.
Dr. Ramanna's general cardiology practice is at Nashville General Hospital, with a high prevalence of heart failure with reduced ejection fraction and resistant hypertension with high prevalence of primary aldosteronism where he is also engaged in teaching medical students and residents in the Meharry Medical College teaching program.
