Born and raised in Metairie, Louisiana, Nate has spent his entire life in the New Orleans metro area. While in New Orleans, he completed his undergraduate degree in Cell and Molecular Biology at Tulane University and completed medical school at Tulane University School of Medicine, where he served as class president for four years. In high school, he developed a passion for rugby and has been an active member within the rugby community for 12 years, playing for Tulane University RFC, the Pontchartrain Poboys, and New Orleans RFC. He also was an assistant coach at his former high school, Jesuit High School, and volunteered as an assistant for medical staff on the local professional team, the NOLA Gold. In addition, he has a passion for WWI and WWII history and collects WWII memorabilia. He also loves travel, video games, museums, the Saints (Who Dat!) and the Pelicans. He is very excited to join the Vanderbilt family to continue his training and pursue his passions in medical education and leadership.
